NEWS: New Goalie Coach on Horizon

Here’s what we do know for sure: The Islanders will have a new goaltending coach this season and that he will travel with the team to training camp.

We also know that former Islanders goaltender Mike Dunham is now retired as a player and that he’s on Long Island. And it wouldn’t surprise us if he is the man for the job.

Dunny was very instrumental in a few early season victories for the Islanders last season. He’s also a very smart hockey guy and has a great relationship with Ricky and Dubie. He knows the sport and knows the position. Dunny’s also one heck-of-a nice guy.

Nothing official yet, but expect it soon.
